INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY, KNOWLEDGE SHARING, ENTREPRENEURSHIP ORIENTATION TO COMPETITIVENESS AND ITS IMPACT ON BUSINESS PERFORMANCE OF SMES

Abstract

Rapid technological developments require SMEs to be sensitive to existing changes, such changes. Such changes can be anticipated with an understanding of the concept of market based theory and reseource based theory. The existence of various kinds of changes, especially in the field of information technology can not be implemented properly without the existence of knowledge sharing and entrepreneurial orientation, the competitiveness and performance of SMEs will not increase. This study aims to assess changes in information technology, knowledge sharing and entrepreneurship orientation can improve the competitiveness of SMEs. The research method used is explanatory research, with 115 samples of UKM Dodol, taken at random, while processing using SEM-PLS. Based on the results of research can be concluded that information technology, knowledge sharing and entrepreneurship orientation have an influence on competitiveness and implicate the business performance. In this study there are also some findings in the information technology will not be optimal without the knowledge sharing, and knowledge sharing will not be optimal without adanaya orientation of entrepreneurship of SMEs. The existence of competitiveness of SMEs is certainly able to improve business performance.
